To create these works, I use a palette knife repeatedly over a surface of thick acrylic paint. I am influenced by Buckminster Fuller's Geodesic Domes in which domes are created using flat shapes, often triangles. In addition, I am always interested in the extreme repetition in the work of Agnes Martin and Yayoi Kusama, especially Kusama's Infinity Nets. The smaller works on canvas are more organic and also include figures, which stem from an interest in armor, both historic and current ways in which we physically armor ourselves.
