Participatory Learning Strategies
I have been interviewing the Convergence Academies Digital Media Mentors in order to understand successful participatory learning strategies and to find themes for teachers to use. These interviews give our writing team concrete examples. They have helped me to find specific ways teachers can utilize digital media as a tool to learn through the practice of playing, tinkering, and experimenting and in turn develop this site for teachers learn how to lecture less in their classrooms. These techniques actively engage the students with the subjects at hand, allowing them to connect, consume, and create, which are the core of Convergence Academies.
